Personal Exhibition

My source of inspiration comes from something as simple as a childhood game that revives the power of imagination by adding new dimensions to what is originally just a doodle.
The game involves asking someone for a quick sketch.
At first glance, these strokes seem meaningless, but when you use your imagination, they take on a completely different visual meaning. Each space in Addition® represents the owners of the sketch.
The Signature is a space designed from the signature of a family therapist. This spatial portrait embodies the values and feelings conveyed by this individual. It serves as a sanctuary for recharging energy, maintaining calm, relaxing, and thinking clearly.

Addition #5+1 The Signature

Addition #05 - AI (Autonomous Instruments)

The music room was one of the most challenging spaces I've had to design. The original doodle severely limited my choices with its strong perspective, restricting the freedom in selecting camera angles. Ultimately, I opted to create a musical scene where autonomous instruments dominate the stage. The artist behind Addition #05, Jorge Artola, who is an Art Director and a friend, shares my deep passion for electronic music. It’s the small details that bring the setups to life, giving them a unique personality that’s special for us both.

Addition #04 - Breathing and Meditation Room

In this case, I wanted to reflect and explore the most pure principle of creative origin. As the project progressed, the doodles were losing their freshness and I found myself overly focused on the final outcomes. Therefore, I decided to return to the very origin of the game and used a stroke made by my niece, who is just five months old. This particular stroke turned out to be less organic, less deliberate—a pure act of generosity without expecting anything in return

Addition #03 - Fresh Air

This time, I aimed to integrate the strokes directly with the space, fostering a seamless connection between the objects and their surroundings.
Inspired by Natacha Cano, a creative in advertising and the author of the doodle, I delved into the potential of textile materials. Air serves as the link between the objects and the space, where the movement of the fabrics instantly transports you there.

Addition #02 - Color Room

In my exploration of diverse creative expressions, I invited my friend and filmmaker, Luis Levrato, to contribute a design for the project. The outcome is a space where organic and geometric elements blend seamlessly, reflecting his artistic style.
The centerpiece is a mirror, reminiscent of a camera lens, surrounded by a spotlight and assorted visual metaphors distributed throughout the setup. This portrait emerged as a vibrant, colorful space where each element displays distinct personality and harmony.

Addition #01 - Reborn

This still life marked the beginning of everything. While playing the original game, the idea for the project emerged. When Alexia, the doodle's creator passed these lines to me, neither of us could have imagined the scope it would eventually take on. That's why the title of this piece represents the three phases of life: past, present, and future. It's an allegory of the journey traveled and the path yet to be explored.
